Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane talks about returning to football coaching.

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has opened up about returning to football management amid interest from a number of suitors.

The French football legend is currently on hiatus and has not been at the job since ending his second stint with the Los Blancos in 2021.

What Zidane said

The former Juventus midfielder was speaking to Telefoot when he revealed that he hoped to return to management soon.

However, despite his willingness to work as a coach again, Zidane will only do it on his own terms, as he has reportedly turned down a number of offers he found undesirable.

According to the report, he was PSG's preferred candidate to replace Christophe Galtier but needed to be more interested in the PSG job.

He is also reportedly being considered for a managerial role by his former club, Juventus, and is said to have turned down Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Despite his seemingly picky outlook so far, he left his future open, telling Telefoot he rules nothing out.

However, he stated that he knew what he wanted, would not settle, and is on a sabbatical because that is what is best for him.

“You can’t rule anything out. I know what I want and what I don’t want. If I’m having this break it’s because I should. I hope to tell myself that soon, I will be able to coach.”
