Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated he cannot guarantee his team's return to the Premier League title race next season.
In the just-concluded season, Man City struggled to replicate their 2023-2024 season performance that saw they win the EPL.
Despite securing their 15th consecutive Champions League berth with a 2-0 victory at Fulham in the final match, Manchester City ended the season trophyless, finishing 13 points behind Premier League champions Liverpool.
They had to fight until the last day of the season to secure qualification for next season's Champions League.

Guardiola's words to City fans
Guardiola has addressed the Man City faithful ahead of next season's challenge, informing them that they should not have many expectations.
"I don't know. I never thought we would win six titles in seven years. But if you expect me to say we will win the Premier League next season, you're mistaken," Guardiola said, as reported by Sport.aktuality.sk

"Since my arrival, we have always had more than 80 points; this year we finished with 71, which is far from our standards. This happened for several reasons."
Guardiola admitted the Citizens are currently "miles away from Liverpool," and next season will be challenging due to their participation in the Club World Cup: "I feel next season will be better, but I don't know how we will react after the Club World Cup.
"We'll be tired, with no holiday before the new season. We must improve; otherwise, we won't be able to fight for titles."
With Kevin De Bruyne's departure and questions surrounding Jack Grealish's future, there is speculation about the need for significant squad rebuilding.
However, Guardiola doesn't anticipate major changes: "I don't have that feeling. I have 24 players, and when I saw them train, I thought, 'They're really good.'
"New faces will arrive, especially where we are weaker, but I don't think we need many reinforcements. We have a good squad, and I don't want many players. We'll see; the summer is long."
