In his post-match interview, Chelle emphasized the need for his team to handle pressure better, a recurring issue observed in Nigeria’s last three matches against Ghana, Jamaica, and Russia.

“We will make changes, we will work on playing under pressure, because this problem has already arisen in the last three matches,” Chelle stated.
“We need to learn to cope with the opponent’s pressing – this was especially noticeable in the second half, when we were practically left without the ball. This is thanks to the Russian footballers.”
Chelle will now look to make important changes and adjust specifics ahead of the Super Eagles' must-win qualifier against Rwanda in September.
