We don't want him, he can go to Arsenal! — Man Utd legend tells Amorim to reject 54-goal striker
Manchester United and Arsenal are both in the market for a top-class striker, and have been linked with several names, including Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekitike, and Viktor Gyokeres.
According to reports, both clubs could be locked in a battle for Gyokeres, who has been one of the most lethal strikers in Europe over the past 18 months.
However, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand is not convinced by Gyokeres and wants him to go to Arsenal instead.
“I’ve not seen enough of him to be totally convinced,” Ferdinand said on talkSPORT.
He added, “When the striker faced big players in the Champions League, he could not do so much against players who match him up physically.”
Ferdinand stressed a preference for experience at United, stating, “I just think for Manchester United, at this moment in time, I would go for experience more than anything.”
Arsenal could have a clear run at the striker, should United choose to look elsewhere.
