Nigeria's Super Eagles entertained fans en route to a first victory over Ghana in Morocco.

Nigerian football fans were treated to a moment of brilliance as the Super Eagles showcased their attacking ability under interim manager Finidi George with a stunning goal against Ghana's Black Stars. 

With the match finely poised, it was a beautiful build-up play that culminated in Ademola Lookman finding the back of the net to seal Finidi’s first win as Eagles boss.

Super Eagles soar past Ghana

The sequence of events leading to the goal epitomised the Super Eagles' skill and cohesion on the pitch. It all began in Nigeria's defensive third, where Raphael Onyedika initiated a slick passing move that carved through Ghana's defense with precision and finesse.

As the ball traversed the length of the pitch, Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi displayed exquisite control and vision, delicately setting up Lookman with a perfectly weighted flick inside Ghana's box.

Lookman, exhibiting composure and clinical finishing, made no mistake from close range, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to double Nigeria's lead in the 84th minute.

The eruption of joy and excitement among the fans was palpable as Lookman's goal sealed the Super Eagles' dominance in the match, putting them in a commanding position.

Despite Ghana's late surge and a consolation goal in added time, Nigeria's Super Eagles held on for a well-deserved victory.

Notably, this victory marked Nigeria's first win over the 10-man Black Stars in 18 years, adding a special significance to the occasion.
