This clash between the Blues and Spurs was one derby that had everything - defensive howlers, penalty drama, and a moment of magic from one of Chelsea's young stars.
Spurs raced into the lead through goals from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski, capitalising on some sloppy play from Chelsea's Marc Cucurella. But Jadon Sancho gave the visitors hope with a superb strike before half-time.
The second half was pure chaos. First, Chelsea were awarded a penalty which Cole Palmer coolly converted to draw them level.
Then, the young playmaker turned provider, picked out Enzo Fernandez to put the Blues ahead for the first time.
Palmer was not done there, cheekily chipping in another penalty with a Panenka to give Chelsea some breathing room. But Spurs hit back through Son Heung-min to set up a nervy finale.
Chelsea held firm, however, to claim a massive victory and three points to move to within four points of leaders Liverpool in second.
A remarkable comeback from the Blues, who showed impressive fighting spirit to claim the bragging rights in this London derby thriller.
