What happened
Al Nassr played their last game of the Saudi Pro League season today and despite a goal from Cristiano, they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Al Fateh.
Ronaldo’s goal took his tally to 25 for the season, two more than the next best, Al Ahli’s Ivan Toney, making him the Golden Boot winner for the second consecutive season.

Despite the individual accolade, collective success in terms of a major trophy remains elusive for the Portuguese international, which has led to speculations that he is unhappy at the club and wants to leave.
The 40-year-old’s contract expires next month, and he has stalled on renewing. After the game against Al Fateh, he put out the following statement on his Instagram: “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”
With Gianni Infantino’s comments suggesting that Ronaldo could join a team that has qualified for the Club World Cup and Wydad Casablanca star Nordin Amrabat revealing that his club were in negotiations with the Portuguese, we could see Ronaldo signing for a team that would be participating in the showpiece hosted by the USA in the near future.
