FIFA president Gianni Infantino has hinted that Cristiano Ronaldo might play in the Club World Cup this summer, despite his club Al Nassr failing to qualify for the tournament.

FIFA has introduced an additional transfer window from June 1 to June 10 to facilitate signings for the Club World Cup, which takes place from June 14 to July 13 in the United States.

Speaking to a YouTuber IShowSpeed, Infantino revealed that there are discussions about Ronaldo's potential involvement.

"We are having discussions about Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the Club World Cup," Infantino said.

"There are discussions with some clubs, so if any club is watching and is interested in hiring Ronaldo for the Club World Cup... who knows, who knows,” he added.

Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr is set to expire this summer, and while reports suggested he was close to agreeing new terms.
