‘The rest are finished’ - Cristiano Ronaldo takes a dig at Ligue 1 claims Saudi League is better
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in January 2022 after having a fallout at Manchester United.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner signed a massive contract that is believed to be worth around £200 million.
Since his move, he has been the best player in the league, having made 83 appearances, scoring 74 goals and providing 18 assists.
Ronaldo devalues French League
Ronaldo has given his verdict on the debate between the French Ligue 1 and the Saudi Pro League in a recent interview.
According to Fabrizio on X, Cristiano Ronaldo said, "The Saudi League is better than Ligue 1, of course. France only has PSG. The rest are finished. Try to sprint in 38, 39, 40-degree weather and see... ”

The Portuguese legend went on to say that Ligue 1 has only one team competing and the rest are finished.
Ronaldo spent most of his career in Europe, playing in England, Spain and Italy, but never made a move to France and opted for the Saudi Arabian League.
However, his rival Lionel Messi left Spain for the French League before leaving for David Beckham’s side Inter Miami.
Following his statement about the Saudi League being better than Ligue 1, a lot of fans have made several comments about his opinion.
