Following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi becomes Mikel Arteta's second official signing at the Emirates, and another fellow Spaniard.
The Basque defensive midfielder was unveiled today. Arsenal's announcement highlighted his playing style, stating, "Controlling the tempo."
Arsenal sign Martin Zubimendi.
"This is a huge moment in my career. It's exactly the move I was looking for and wanted to make. As soon as you arrive here, you realize how big this club and this team are.
"I wanted Arsenal because their style of play suits me. They've shown their potential recently, and the best is yet to come," Zubimendi commented after signing the contract, as reported by GSP.

Arsenal will pay a total of €65 million, slightly more than Zubimendi's release clause at Real Sociedad.
Liverpool were interested in the Basque player in the summer of 2024, but Zubimendi rejected the Reds, opting to stay at Real Sociedad.
Zubimendi will fill a gap left by recent departures. Both Jorginho and Thomas Partey's contracts have ended. Jorginho signed with Flamengo, while Partey has been charged with rape and sexual assault.
Following Kepa and Zubimendi, Chelsea's right winger, Noni Madueke, could be Arsenal's third signing of the summer. Arsenal have reportedly agreed terms with the player and are set to begin negotiations with their London rivals.
