Mohamed Salah was anonymous as Liverpool's title hope suffered a shocking setback against Everton.

In the wake of Liverpool's disheartening 2-0 defeat to Merseyside rivals Everton, frustrated Reds fans have taken to social media to express their discontent with star forward Mohamed Salah.

The 31-year-old Egyptian international, who has been a pivotal figure for Liverpool in recent seasons, failed to make a significant impact during the match, managing just one chance created, one key pass, and three shots off target in the full 90 minutes.

Liverpool fans want Salah out

Salah's underwhelming performance has led some Liverpool supporters to call for the club to offload the player, with one fan posting on social media: "Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, one of you, please take Mo Salah off our hands, I beg."

“Al Nassr badly needs Mo Salah on their right wing if they want to stop Al hilal and their referees. Salah is predictable now but over there he's going to feast,” another added.

The comments underscore the growing frustration among Liverpool fans, who had hoped that Jurgen Klopp's side would mount a strong challenge for the Premier League title in the German manager's final season at the helm.

However, the loss to Everton has dealt a major blow to Liverpool's title aspirations, with the Reds now sitting third on the table, three points behind leaders Arsenal.

Despite his impressive goal-scoring and assist records this season, with 17 goals and 9 assists in 28 league appearances, Salah's recent performances have failed to meet the high standards he has set for himself and the club.

As Liverpool's season hangs in the balance, the calls for Salah's departure from the Anfield faithful highlight the growing pressure on the player and the team to turn things around in the remaining fixtures.

With the transfer window looming, it remains to be seen whether the club will heed the fans' demands and explore options for Salah's potential departure, or if the Egyptian forward will be given the opportunity to rediscover his best form and help Liverpool salvage their campaign.
