Super Falcons star Oshoala reveals her confusion over team to support in NWFL Premiership Super 6

Oshoala started her professional career in the NWFL, where she played for the Robo Queens and Rivers Angels before moving abroad.

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has revealed her confusion over the team to the support at the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six.

Pulse Sports reported that the NWFL Super Six started on Tuesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

Bayelsa Queens, Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, Edo Queens, Robo Queens, and Confluence Queens are battling for the league title in the Super Six.

The winner will represent the country at the CAF Champions League later this year in Ivory Coast.

Oshoala confuse about team to support between Rivers Angels and Robo Queens

The Barcelona forward is confused about which team to support after her former sides clashed in the opening games of the Super Six.

The Ikorodu-born player started her professional career with the Nigerian clubs FC Robo and Rivers Angels from 2009 to 2015 before moving to Liverpool Ladies.

The Rivers Angels defeated the Robo Queens 2-0 in their Super Six opening games.

Chaimaka Okwuchukwu breaks the deadlock for Rivers in the 36th minute with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, with the Lagos Landladies being wasteful in the first half.

Adaobi Okah doubled the lead for Rivers in the 79th minute with a powerful strike to start the Super Six on a brighter note.

Bayelsa Queens will battle Robo Queens on Wednesday, while Rivers Angels lock horns with Bayelsa Queens for the final game in Group A.

Oshoala disclosed after the game on her Twitter page, she said, "I don’t even know how to feel sef but congrats sha."

Pulse Sports reported that the 28-year-old made history as the Barcelona Femeni defeated Wolfsburg to win the 2023 Women's Champions League.

Oshoala has been adding awards to her trophy-filled cabinet ever since she made her debut 14 years ago.

Barcelona had to come back from two goals down to record a 3-2 victory in 90 minutes.

Oshoala, who did not feature in the final due to injury, set a new record with the victory.

She became the first female player from Africa or Nigeria to have won two European Cups.
