Njinmah remains eligible for both Germany, where he was born, and Nigeria’s Super Eagles through his parents.

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro will be looking at new players for his post-AFCON plans and could convince Njinmah to pledge his international future to Nigeria instead.

But the prospect of representing four-time World Cup winners Germany will be tough to turn down for Njinmah.

Either way, the skilful striker's recent rise to prominence promises an exciting future at club and international level.
