Werder Bremen's Justin Njinmah is weighing his international options, with the forward eligible for Germany and Nigeria's Super Eagles.

Rising star Justin Njinmah says speculation he is on Germany's radar is spurring him on to greater heights, even as Nigeria attempts to lure him to the Super Eagles.

The 23-year-old forward has enjoyed a breakout season in the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen, scoring five goals and notching two assists.

That impressive form has seen Njinmah reportedly emerge on Germany's extended national team squad shortlist.

And the talented teen admits talk of catching Die Mannschaft's eye has provided extra motivation.

"When you hear you're on the national team's extended roster, it motivates you to keep improving," he said according to Bild.

"If you keep pushing now, it might not be as far away as you imagined."

Njinmah remains eligible for both Germany, where he was born, and Nigeria’s Super Eagles through his parents.

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro will be looking at new players for his post-AFCON plans and could convince Njinmah to pledge his international future to Nigeria instead.

But the prospect of representing four-time World Cup winners Germany will be tough to turn down for Njinmah.

Either way, the skilful striker's recent rise to prominence promises an exciting future at club and international level.

Njinmah will be hoping to make the most of his golden opportunity at Werder Bremen as his star continues to rapidly ascend and shine.
