Spain vs England: La Roja coach De la Fuente makes history to become King of Europe

Spain's emphatic victory over England in the Euro 2024 final was not just about securing their fourth European Championship title as it also marked a historic achievement for their coach, Luis de la Fuente.

De la Fuente put his name in footballing history by becoming the first manager to win all four major European trophies with a national team, the U-19 Euros, U-21 Euros, Nations League, and now the senior Euros.

The 63-year-old Spaniard meticulously built this impressive resume, leading Spain's U-19 team to victory in the 2015 Euros and the U-21 side to the 2019 championship.

He then capped it off with a Nations League triumph in 2023.

Sunday's final was a nail-biter as Spain took the lead through Nico Williams in the second half, but England's substitute Cole Palmer equalised just before the 75th minute.

However, with only four minutes remaining, Mikel Oryazabal rose to the occasion, converting a cross from Marc Cucurella to snatch victory and spark jubilant celebrations.
