Manchester United loanee Wout Weghorst is reportedly not in the future plans of his parent club.

Burnley are reportedly planning a future without Wout Weghorst, who is currently on loan to Manchester United, as he is said to not be in the plans of Vincent Kompany.

The 30-year-old signed for the Clarets in the summer of 2022, but following their relegation at the end of the season, he went on loan to Besiktas, and after six months, he swapped loan clubs, joining Manchester United.

The Red Devils are said to not plan to make his deal permanent, and per recent reports, his parent club do not include him in their plans either.

Burnley do not want Weghorst

According to reports from Football Insider, Burnley are already planning for their future in the Premier League next season, and the Dutch striker is not included in the plans.

The striker who only managed two goals in 20 games for Burnley in the season they were relegated will be allowed to leave the club in the summer, according to the reports.

The report casts uncertainty on the striker's location next season, as his current employers Manchester United are anticipated to sign a world-class player in the position, despite Ten Hag being satisfied with his desire and work rate.

Man United’s midfield target

Meanwhile, Wolves' Matheus Nunes has reportedly piqued the interest of Manchester United as they look to strengthen in midfield during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old Portugal international has been alluring to many European clubs, with Liverpool repeatedly reported as keeping tabs on him. The Red Devils have now joined his list of suitors as Erik Ten Hag plans for the summer.

The Portuguese only recently signed for Wolves last summer from Sporting Lisbon for a club record £35 million fee, and is only months into a five-year contract, however, it is believed he will be allowed to leave in the next window should a suitable offer come in.
