Mo Salah could be the next high-profile player to leave Anfield for the Saudi Pro League this summer following the footsteps of former teammates Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino.

The Reds have already identified the perfect replacement for the Egyptian superstar.

Salah’s imminent departure

According to a Pulse Sports Nigeria report, Salah wants a move away from the Premier League this summer.

The 31-year-old is interested in making the switch following an approach by Saudi Arabian giants Al Ittihad.

The Saudi side is said to be confident that they can convince Mo Salah to make the switch before the end of what has been a busy transfer summer for the Saudi Pro League team.

According to a Daily Star report, with Salah’s departure looking likely, the Reds are ready.

The club has reportedly switched attention to Atletico Madrid outcast and Chelsea flop Joao Felix as the man to take over from Salah.

Felix, who is Atletico’s record signing following his move from Benfica, spent last season on a season-long loan at Liverpool’s Premier League rivals, Chelsea.

The Portuguese forward, however, failed to impress them after just four goals scored for the Blues. 

But should Salah leave, the Reds are said to be ready to splash the cash to get the troubled 23-year-old.

Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has made 307 appearances and scored 187 goals for the Reds.

He has won the Premier League and the Champions League during his time with the club.
