LALIGA side Real Betis are reportedly exploring the purchase of Nigerian striker Akor Adams, as they are keen on bolstering their attacking options this January transfer window following a dismal first half of the season.

The 24-year-old earned a move to Montpellier in the summer of 2022 after an impressive stint with Norwegian side Lillestrom. However, he has failed to replicate that form in France, scoring 13 goals in 49 games.

The Heliopolitans have had a poor half of the season. They currently lie 11th in the LALIGA standings and risk elimination from the UEFA Conference League.

To turn their campaign around, they set out to improve their attacking options. They are close to completing a loan move for Manchester United's Antony and are now working on landing Adams as well.

Montpellier reportedly want €8 million for the Nigerian. Per Foot Mercato, Betis want the deal to be a loan with an option to buy.

Barcelona loanee Vitor Roque has been the Andalusian side’s main striker this season; however, there are reports the Blaugrana have received a bid worth €27 million for his services.
