Hojland did an interview with controversial YouTube channel 'The United Stand', which has landed him in hot soup.

Manchester United's Danish international Rasmus Hojlund, has found himself at the center of controversy after conducting an interview with a prominent Manchester United YouTube fan channel, The United Stand.

While Hojlund has been enjoying a stellar performance on the field, scoring seven goals in six appearances for the Red Devils before a recent injury, his decision to speak with the channel has reportedly raised eyebrows among some of his teammates.

The United Stand has been criticized in the past for its negative stance and alleged player criticism, with former Red Devil Paul Parker stating that the channel is "causing problems" at United.

According to reports from the United We Stand magazine, a few United players approached Hojlund, expressing concerns about his choice to give an interview to a channel that, in their view, was built on negativity and slaughtering United players.

Mark Goldbridge, who runs The United Stand, defended the interview, claiming that the criticisms stem from jealousy.

Addressing the issue on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Goldbridge wrote,

“Jealousy always seems to burn brightest on a Sunday lol! So, that interview took months to put together.

"Everyone in the club was aware, the player and others were doing media on a training day at Carrington, we were there all morning. If anyone wanted to stop it, they could (have).”

Former United defender Paul Parker had previously voiced his disapproval of Goldbridge's approach, stating that he believes Goldbridge has been "attacking the club, the manager, and the owners of a football club that he doesn't even love" since he is a Nottingham Forest fan.

Parker commented on the situation, saying, "I don't like what Mark Goldbridge is doing. It's a problem.

“Everyone has to make a living, but you have to be very, very thick-skinned to make money off the back of something you don't like."

He criticized Goldbridge for attacking the club without having a genuine connection to Manchester United.

Despite the off-field controversy, Hojlund's on-field performance has been noteworthy. The £72million summer signing had a significant upturn in form, scoring in six consecutive matches, helping Manchester United secure victories.

This marked a turnaround for Hojlund, who had initially struggled to find the back of the net in the Premier League until the 3-2 Boxing Day win over Aston Villa.

In total, Hojlund has netted 13 goals in 30 appearances in his debut season at the club, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess and contributing significantly to Manchester United's campaign.
