Barcelona advance for Rashford
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco revealed that they planned on signing a left winger in the summer, as they identified it as a problem position.
The Blaugrana reportedly had Liverpool's Luis Diaz as their first-choice target for the position but have, however, had to pivot, as the financial requirement to pull off the move is beyond their current capabilities.

According to Sport, Rashford was one of the four alternatives the Blaugrana had, and today, Deco met with his agent to discuss the move. According to the report, Barcelona have asked Rashford to hold out, as they hope to beat down Manchester United’s €40 million demand.
The England international is said to be keen on joining the club, as he was during the January transfer window, and will reject other offers while he waits for the LALIGA champions.
Manchester United insist on selling the striker outright this summer, while Barcelona are looking to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
