Victor Osimhen has finally been presented with his Marc-Vivien Foé Award four years after winning it in 2020.

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has finally claimed his Marc-Vivien Foé Award in Ivory Coast four years after he originally won it for his exploits in Lille.

The Marc-Vivien Foé Award is presented annually to the best African player in Ligue 1 and Osimhen shone like a million stars in the French top flight which led to him winning the prestigious prize.

The Nigerian striker scored 13 league goals and 18 in all competitions for Lille in the 2019/20 season which led to him winning the award but he was unable to receive his prize due to the Covid-19 pandemic until now.

Osimhen won the Marc-Vivien Foe Award in 2020

Osimhen became the youngest-ever winner of the award at 21 years old in 2020 by emerging top in a poll of about 100 football experts across the media.

Shortly after that season, the Super Eagles striker made a record-breaking 72 million Euros move from Lille to Napoli, making him the most expensive African footballer of all time.

The award was presented to Osimhen on Saturday, January, 20 in Ivory Coast where the striker is on international duty with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations happening in 2024.
