Not for sale - Newcastle owners tell Isak he's going nowhere this summer
The Magpies' star striker is reportedly pushing for a move to Liverpool, with Newcastle already rejecting a bid of £110 million plus add-ons.
Isak is currently training alone and manager Eddie Howe has admitted he's unlikely to feature in the opening game against Aston Villa.
Isak not for sale
Newcastle's owners have informed Alexander Isak that he will not be sold this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph, via Sportal.
A new bid from Anfield had been expected, but Newcastle's ownership, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), remains firm that Isak is not for sale this transfer window.
Even if the Magpies secure a new striker, which they have so far struggled to do, their stance will not change.
Alexander Isak is reportedly furious with the owners' decision. Speculation in recent days suggested he was ready to hand in a formal transfer request, but this is unlikely to alter the situation.
The Swede is expected to be sidelined until the window closes, at which point Eddie Howe is likely to reintegrate him into the squad.
