Despite expressing his love for the club in the past, Van Dijk has stated that there are "no changes at the moment" regarding a new contract.
The 33-year-old has been a pivotal figure for Liverpool since joining from Southampton in 2018.
However, with his contract nearing its end, the possibility of losing such an influential player for free next summer looms.
While Van Dijk's contract situation is a major concern, the defender has expressed his desire for the club to strengthen the squad through new signings.
"I think we should make some signings based on how long the season will go," he said.
Liverpool are reportedly targeting midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, but the deal has yet to be finalised.
