Nigerians have slammed Stanley Nwabali after the Super Eagles goalkeeper took Andre Onana’s kit following Cameroon’s Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023, exit.
Nwabali was in goal while Onana watched from the bench as Nigeria defeated the Indomitable Lions 2-0 to book a place in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

The 27-year-old took to his social media account to share a video of Onana’s goalkeeping kit alongside a photo of both players embracing in Cote d’Ivoire with the caption "Respect."
Nigerians did not find the act funny and took to the comment section to blast the Chippa United goalkeeper for mingling with the much-criticised Manchester United number one.

Nwabali’s action seems to have touched a nerve, with fans now scared of seeing the former Wikki Tourist man in between the Nigerian posts.

Nigeria's Nwabali has had a memorable outing with the Super Eagles in Cote d'Ivoire, keeping three clean sheets in four matches at the AFCON 2023.
He also boasts of the best save rate in the competition, with 88.9%, having averaged 2.7 saves per game.

Meanwhile, Onana only featured once and conceded three goals for the Indomitable Lions before they were sent crashing out by Nwabali and Nigeria.
