Al-Ittihad, who has N'Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, and Fabinho among their ranks, has named former France and Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc as their new manager.
The Public Investment Fund-owned team, however, only managed to finish sixth in the league, more than 40 points behind league leaders Al-Hilal, after spending heavily during the summer.
This came after they had won the Pro League the season before, and Nuno Espirito Santo was fired as Al-Ittihad's manager for the 2023–24 campaign.
De Bruyne, however, would be a tremendous signing for the Saudi Arabian team as they look to challenge for the title next season.
