Naija Stars Abroad is a weekly dive into Nigerian players and their football exploits across the world of football.

Terem Moffi and Samuel Chukwueze both found the net as they led the way for Nigerian players in standout attacking displays across the world over the weekend.

Naija Stars Abroad reviews the performances of Nigerian players over the weekend in what was indeed a slightly quiet one for Super Eagles and Super Falcons stars.

Moffi and Chukwueze lead the way

In France, Moffi continued his rich vein of form by scoring twice as Nice defeated Lens 3-1. The in-form striker's brace took his Ligue 1 tally to nine goals for the campaign.

Over in Italy, Chukwueze finally opened his account for Milan with a quickfire double in their 3-1 victory at Hellas Verona.

Iwobi, Bassey Star As Leicester Duo Disappoint

Premier League sides had contrasting afternoons, with Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey both superb as Fulham thrashed Tottenham 3-0.

Super Eagles playmaker Iwobi created four chances while Bassey contributed an assist and a clean sheet for the Cottagers.

But for Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, it was a difficult outing, with Leicester crashing out of the FA Cup after a 4-2 quarter-final loss to Chelsea at home.

Ndidi featured for 72 minutes while the Foxes left Mr FA Cup, Iheanacho, on the bench as an unused substitute.

Osayi-Samuel's Boxer's Blow After Fenerbahce Win

In Turkey, Bright Osayi-Samuel was the unlikely boxing hero for Fenerbahce as fans invaded the pitch following their dramatic 3-2 win at Trabzonspor.

The wing-back was seen throwing a punch to floor one of the invading supporters after they attacked Fenerbahce's players in disturbing scenes.

While he couldn’t stop his side from conceding two goals in the game, the 26-year-old defended his mates after the match in a remarkable fashion.

Osimhen Injury Worry For Napoli

Finally, back in Italy, there was concern for Victor Osimhen after the Nigerian striker missed Napoli's 1-1 draw with Inter Milan due to a muscle injury.

Osimhen was an unused sub at the San Siro, putting his involvement in Nigeria's upcoming friendlies in doubt as his Napoli teammates ended Inter’s 10-game winning streak.

In Begamo, it was a no-show for AFCON hero Ademola Lookman and Atlanta as their match against Fiorentina was postponed.
