Les Aiglons travelled to the north of France to face Lens at the Estadio Bollaert-Delelis in what was a European-place six-pointer. It was the visitors who came out on top thanks to a brace from their Nigerian striker, which saw them leapfrog their hosts on the log and move into 4th.

Terem Moffi brace hero
The former Lorient striker combined with 20-year-old Mohamed Ali-Cho as early as the 11th minute of the game to put Nice ahead. They doubled it eight minutes after returning from the half-time break; this time, Cho was assisting a new dance partner, Kephren Thuram.
In the 67th minute, Moffi was handed the responsibility of taking the visitors lead to three from the penalty spot, and like he did for the Super Eagles at the AFCON, he finished coolly past the goalkeeper to register his brace.
Elye Wahi pulled one back for the hosts, but it served as mere consolation, as Nice went back home with all three points.
Moffi becomes the third-highest-scoring Nigerian in the top-five leagues
The 11th-minute strike was Moffi’s eighth league goal of the season, which took him level with Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, who was the Nigerian with the third most goals in Europe’s top five leagues; the penalty, however, took him one clear.
Now above Lookman and fellow Ligue 1 striker Akor Adams (seven goals) in 4th and 5th, respectively, he is still behind Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface (10 goals) and the main man himself, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen (11 goals).
