Mikel Arteta picked his dream 5-a-side team, and he included a controversial figure amongst Arsenal fans.

Mikel Arteta, now making waves in the managerial realm, recently unveiled his fantasy five-a-side team comprised of former teammates, causing a stir with one notable inclusion.

Drawing from his illustrious playing days across esteemed clubs like Barcelona, PSG, Rangers, Everton, and Arsenal, Arteta faced the daunting task of selecting just five individuals for his dream team. Amongst the chosen few, one name stood out for its contentious history.

"Ronaldinho has to be there," asserted Arteta, per Just Arsenal, highlighting the Brazilian's incomparable skill set during their shared time. "I never saw anything like it... he was in his prime, doing things with the ball at that pace."

In crafting his dream squad, Arteta couldn't overlook the sheer brilliance of Thierry Henry and Andres Iniesta. However, it was the inclusion of Robin van Persie, from his time at Arsenal, that raised eyebrows, particularly among Gunners faithful.

Despite the lingering discord surrounding Van Persie's departure to Manchester United, Arteta remained steadfast in his admiration for the Dutch striker. "I would put Robin van Persie there because he was in his best prime when we were teammates," affirmed Arteta.
