After numerous negotiations, Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino have finally reached an agreement to become the club's new manager.

At the conclusion of the current season, the 51-year-old Argentine will succeed interim manager Frank Lampard. The former Tottenham manager was fired during his tenure at Spurs in November 2019 and is expected to make a comeback to the Premier League.

The Argentine has been out of work since leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season and he’s set to return to England as Chelsea manager.

Mauricio Pochettino is set to return to England after leaving Tottenham in 2019. He is set to sign a contract with Chelsea after accepting terms with the club.

The former Tottenham manager joined Spurs in 2014 and managed the club for nine years before he was sacked.

He finished as league runner-up in the 2016–17 season, as well as leading the club to their first Champions League final.

Since his departure from PSG in 2022 he has been out of work but is expected to return to managerial duties and sign for Chelsea football club.

Pochettino is the right man for Chelsea says Gary Neville

Gary Neville believes that Pochettino is the ideal candidate to become the manager at Chelsea after having a bad season.

Neville told Sky Sports in April, "Based on what [Chelsea co-owner Todd] Boehly has said, Chelsea have done their spending for the next three years - apart from signing a centre-forward.

"If they appoint Zinedine Zidane, Luis Enrique or Diego Simeone, they're going to want to have another £300m as they won't like some of the players they've previously signed.

"They've got to appoint a manager who is going to inherit and like the squad that they've got - a lot of them are young - and I think that man is Mauricio Pochettino."

Todd Boehly and Co have been searching for a new manager since the sacking of Graham Potter and have found their man in Mauricio Pochettino.
