Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Diego Dalot to a new long-term contract set to run until 2028.
The 24-year-old Portugal international full-back joined the Red Devils in 2018 from Porto, but he struggled to cement his place, causing him to be loaned out to AC Milan.
However, since returning last summer, he has shown tremendous improvement, including a noteworthy World Cup outing. The club have not rewarded him with a five-year extension.
What Dalot said about the extension
The Red Devils announced today via their official channels that Dalot has committed his future to the club.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Diego could not hide his elation, claiming playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours in the world and that he is happy to further intertwine his journey with theirs.
“Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours that you can have in football,” he said, per Fabrizio Romano
“I’ve grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since the day that I joined.”
