The €60 million fee is reported to be the total package of the deal, including add-ons and not just the guaranteed fee.

Also, the report states that the structure of the deal makes the terms favourable for Manchester City, which includes paying in instalments.

The negotiations have gone on for three weeks now, as they began on the first of August; however, Manchester City were said to have been tracking the explosive winger for a much longer period.

Who is Jeremy Doku

Doku is a right-footed winger capable of playing on both flanks but deployed mainly on the right wing.

He is a Belgian-Ghanaian but represents the Red Devils internationally, racking up 14 caps while scoring two goals.

He only scored eight goals in all competitions for Rennes last season, including four assists, but according to FbRef, he is among the top 1% of players in his position for successful take-ons and progressive carries, traits Pep Guardiola side must have sought out in his signing.
