The Premier League has named its manager of the season nominees with Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag missing from the list.

The English Premier League, PL, has named its nominees for the 2022/23 Manager of the season with Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag missing.

PL revealed on their official website a six-man list on Thursday afternoon with the United manager the conspicuous omission.

The Dutchman has led the Red Devils to fourth place in the league and is on the brink of Champions League football.

Six managers made the list led by the man of the moment, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola is just three points away from defending the PL title for the third consecutive time.

He’s joined by his former assistant manager Mikel Arteta who has fired his Arsenal side to a credible title challenge this campaign.

Other managers who made the list include Roberto De Zerbi, who is on the verge of a historic season at the Amex after he replaced Graham Potter at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Aston Villa’s Unai Emery also made the list following his incredible job at the Villains who have moved from a relegation fight at 17th to European football contenders in such a short time.

Also on the list is Eddie Howe, the former Bournemouth coach who has led Newcastle United to the brink of Champions League football.

Marco Silva has been rewarded for his hard work with Fulham after helping them preserve their PL status following their promotion last season.
