Fans of Chelsea FC have urged the club to loan out Nicolas Jackson for not living up to expectations.

Chelsea and Manchester City served an epic Premier League classic - a match many will easily term the best game of the season so far.

The Blues went toe to toe with the current European Champions and matched them in virtually every area of the pitch, with the game ending in a 4-4 draw.

Erling Haaland gave Man City the lead via a penalty after Marc Cucurella was adjudged to have impeded the Norwegian in the box. Haaland picked himself and sent Sanchez the wrong way.

Many would have expected that Pep Guardiola’s side would seize control of the game from then on, but Chelsea found a way back through a Thiago Silva’s header.

Former Man City star Raheem Sterling put Chelsea in front, but just before the halfway mark, City equalised via a Manuel Akanji’s header after a beautiful delivery from Bernardo Silva.

Mauricio Pochettino’s could have added to their tally before City equalised but striker Nicolas Jackson was guilty of missing some chances, particularly when he took the ball from Raheem Sterling’s feet but couldn't hit the target.

City took the lead two more times, but on each occasion, Chelsea rallied back. It took a Cole Palmer penalty to finally draw them level in the 95th minute.

Chelsea fans blast Nicolas Jackson

Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson, signed from Villareal in the summer to lead Chelsea’s attack, but has not covered himself in glory.

It took until his third game for him to find the back of the net in the game against Premier League newcomers Luton Town before getting on the scoresheet again in a Carabao Cup game against Brighton.

Although the 22-year-old hit a hat-trick against Tottenham last time, he still received some sticks because many believed he could have scored six or more goals.

In the game against Man City, Nicolas Jackson scored Chelsea’s third to draw them level at the time, but he was also guilty of spurning some glorious chances.

Not only that, his link-up play for much of the game was very poor, leading to a breakdown of many Chelsea chances.

Reactions: Send Jackson on Loan

Many Chelsea fans on PulseSports Nigeria's Facebook page urged Mauricio Pochettino to loan out Nicolas Jackson because they were not pleased with his performance.

Here are some of the reactions from fans regarding Nicolas Jackson’s performance against Manchester City.

Meanwhile, the former Villareal man remains Chelsea’s most potent goal-poacher, finding the back of the net six times in 11 matches so far in all competition, and will likely get better with time.
