Lionel Messi powers Inter Miami to League Cup final
After missing a significant portion of the month due to a leg injury, Lionel Messi's heroics helped Inter Miami defeat Orlando City and advance to the Leagues Cup final.
In the second leg of the tournament's semifinals, Miami defeated Orlando 3-1 at Chase Stadium in south Florida thanks to two goals from Messi in the last 15 minutes of play.

Marco Pasalic's goal just before halftime gave Orlando a 1-0 lead, and they led at the interval.
In the 77th minute, Messi gave Inter Miami a lifeline with an easy penalty kick that tied the score.
Eleven minutes later, Messi received the ball from Jordi Alba, dribbling once, and firing the game-winning goal across the goalkeeper Pedro Gallesse.
Late in the game, Telasco Segovia added a third goal in stoppage time to give Miami a two-goal victory.
Messi has been struggling with a muscular issue in his right leg and aggravated it when he made a comeback in their game against the LA Galaxy on August 16.
For the second time in two years, Miami is returning to the Leagues Cup final, where they were victorious, defeating Nashville in 2003.
Inter Miami will now play either the LA Galaxy or the Seattle Sounders to determine the new League's Cup champion.
