Lagos Landladies sent parking as Confluence Queens pip Edo Queens in NWFL Premiership Super 6

Robo Queens suffered her second defeat in the Super Six against the defending champions, Bayelsa Queens, to become the first team to be knocked out of the championship.

Lagos-based club Robo Queens has been sent parking at the ongoing Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six.

Pulse Sports reported that the NWFL Super Six started on Tuesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

Robo Queens suffered her second defeat in the Super Six against the defending champions, Bayelsa Queens, to become the first team to be knocked out of the championship.

Flourish Sabastine scored the winning goal for Bayelsa Queens in the 57th minute of the game.

Earlier, the Rivers Angels defeated the Robo Queens in the opening game.

With the results, Rivers Angels topped Group A with three points, followed by Bayelsa Queens with the same points and Robo, who failed to record a win.

Confluence Queens pipped Edo Queens 1-0

In the second game of the day, Lokoja-based Confluence Queens pipped Edo Queens 1-0.

Osigwe Chukwuamaka netted the only goal of the encounter in the 56th minute to give Confluence Queens the maximum points.

All efforts by Edo Queens to level the playing field proved abortive as Confluence Queens goalkeeper Linda Jiwuaku denied Edo several times.

The coach of Robo Queens, Emmanuel Osahon fault his players for not taking their chances.

Pulse Sports reported that the Robo Queens played two games and were unable to score a single goal.

He said, "My girls are just less clear; we are the ones playing and they are the ones scoring, maybe my girls are not mature, but I don't really understand.

"I am not happy that all the things I taught them they can only do to some extent. It is wrong for us to play two matches and not score a single goal."

Bayelsa Queen's coach Domo Okara applauded the teams in the championship and vowed to get maximum points in their last game.

He said, "Every coach will be happy when they win, our female league has improved, and every team in the league is a good and potential champion. This is not our best performance.

"Our target against the Rivers Angels is to win, or else we will be packing our bags and leaving."

The defending champions, Bayelsa Queens, will lock horns against the former champions, Rivers Angels, on Friday in the last game.
