The funds will aim at running the club's affairs for the 2023/2024 FKFPL season.

The Kenya Police FC management office on Wednesday 16th August held a fundraising event at a Nairobi hotel in support of both their men and women’s teams as they continue to ready themselves for the 2023/2024 season.

Up to Ksh13 million was raised by all the stakeholders involved in running the club, ranging from the members of the Kenya Police Service, the private sector as well as other well wishers.

The pick of all contributors was Hussein Mohammed of Extreme Sports and Friends, who donated Ksh1 million to help the club’s course.

The Law Enforcers have certainly meant business in the close season. Not only did they manage to lure new players, most notably ex-Gor Mahia and Azam midfielder Kenneth Muguna as well as Tyson Otieno, they also traveled to Rwanda and Tanzania to step up their preparations for this season’s FKF Premier League.

They also managed to acquire a women’s team, Police Bullets, which will be coached by fast-rising tactician Beldine Odemba ahead of the new FKF Women’s Premier League season.

Furthermore, the club made significant coaching appointments, bringing Salim Babu on board as an assistant coach and Nowel Mandi as a physiotherapist, adding valuable expertise to the technical staff.

Last season finished they third in the league to register their highest ever finish, which saw them finish just six points behind the eventual champions Gor Mahia.

Their performance was commendable, recording 18 wins, 10 draws, and only six losses.

Notably, Police FC proved the most potent attacking force in the league, netting 55 goals throughout the season. Equally impressive was their defensive record, as they conceded only 22 goals.

Police will begin their season with a match against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday, August 26.
