Coach Baraza praises team's performance in pre-season friendly matches.

Kenya Police FC head coach Francis Baraza has  expressed confidence that his team will be fully prepared for the start of the 2023/2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League on August 26.

The Law Enforcers have been actively engaged in a series of friendly matches, aimed at fine-tuning their winning strategies for the upcoming season.

The team's pre-season commenced four weeks ago in Kiganjo, and they have been making steady progress ever since.

Their recent friendly matches against Tanzanian sides, Singida Big Stars and Namungo FC, ended in 1-1 draws, with both goals being netted by the prolific Elvis Rupia.

In an interview, Baraza praised the charges' performances in those matches but also highlighted the need to address certain areas before the league kick-off in August.

"So far so good since we started pre-season four weeks ago back in Kiganjo. From there, we went to Tanzania where we played against Singida and Namungo, who are representing that country in the CAF Confederation Cup," Baraza commented.

While Coach Baraza acknowledged the impressive displays from his players in the previous friendlies, he also acknowledged that there are areas that require improvement before the league commences.

In pursuit of even tougher competition and more opportunities to fine-tune the team's skills, Police traveled to Kigali, Rwanda, to face Rayon Sports, a formidable team boasting a substantial fan base.

"They are a very good team with many supporters, and I expect on Monday we may have confirmed another friendly here in Rwanda," coach Baraza remarked before the match.

The team arrived in Rwanda on Friday, ready for the first friendly match in the country, which was played at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday night.
