‘It's about creating momentum’ - Amorim ignores critics, warns players against complacency after Chelsea win

When asked if the result was a message to his detractors, Man United head manager Amorim was dismissive, as reported by Daily Mail.

"It's nothing about that!" Amorim said. "People don't have too many good things to say about our team and our results. I understand that I'm just joking around all the time.

"I have nothing to say to the critics; they are right most of the time. But we won, and that's a good thing for us."

After the final whistle, Amorim was quick to warn his squad against complacency, especially given their sluggish start to the season and a tough away fixture against Brentford looming next weekend.

"Now it's time to create a bit of momentum," he stated. "We deserved the win, but it's just one win. We need to think about the next one."
