Senegalese forward Sadio Mane and Portuguese defender Joao Cancelo are set to exit Bayern Munich at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports Germany.

Mane only joined at the end of last season from Liverpool in a deal worth £ 27.4 million, but his season has not fully gone to plan.

He has notched just 12 goals so far this campaign, in an injury-marred season.

It's a campaign that will be remembered most for his physical altercation with teammate Leroy Sane after they were thrashed 3-0 in the Champions League by Manchester City.

The African Player of the Year has struggled for game time this season, especially after the sacking of head coach Julian Nagglesman.

Sky also understands that Mane is destined for a return to England, with Premier League teams better placed to afford his £ 17-a-season salary.

On the other hand, Cancelo is also fated for a return to his mother club, Manchester City, as Bayern doesn't plan on a permanent move.

His short spell hasn't been as bad, as he has assisted six times and scored once in 19 appearances.

According to multiple reports, Bayern are not willing to pay the £ 60 million asking price but they are ready to keep him if they lower to desirable figures.

Meanwhile Cancelo does not favour a return to the Etihad Stadium after falling out favor Pep Guardiola, and would prefer a deal elsewhere.

With two games to go, Bayern are just a point clear of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table.

While the former take on Leipzig on Saturday, a day later Dortmund entertain Mainz for the penultimate round.
