Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo playfully reminded Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala that she still owes him Sallah meat and he’s “still waiting!”

The Saudi-based striker took to Instagram to respond to Oshoala’s Sallah holiday post, where the Super Falcons forward looked stunning in traditional Nigerian attire.

What Ighalo told Oshoala

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Oshoala celebrated the Sallah holidays in America while playing for Bay FC, who secured a 1-0 victory over Portland Thorns FC during their Pride Night celebration.

Before the game, Oshoala proudly showed her cultural roots by wearing a traditional Nigerian agbada paired with trousers fitted snugly at the ankle.

As a Muslim, her choice of outfit also symbolised her personal and religious connection to the Sallah festivities.

In the Instagram comment section, Ighalo humorously wrote, “Star girl, I no see my sallah meat o still waiting though.”

Oshoala missing International break

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old was a notable omission as Nigeria’s Super Falcons stepped up preparation for next month’s WAFCON.

The Super Falcons registered another win as coach Justine Madugu continued to prepare his squad for Mission X following a comfortable 2-0 win over Cameroon.
