Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala confirmed she would receive a Champions League winner medal from Barcelona, despite having left the club for Bay FC in the NWSL in America.
Barcelona lifted the UWCL today after beating record-winners Olympique Lyon 2-0 in Bilbao. They have now won the title in consecutive seasons and three times in four years.

Oshoala to get winners medal
The Nigerian striker completed a move from Barcelona to Bay FC in the National Women's Soccer League in February after spending six years at the club, scoring 117 goals in 162 games.
She left midway through this season after having made two appearances for Barcelona in the competition, scoring once in the 5-0 routing of Benfica in the group stages.
Ahead of the final against Lyon today, Oshoala wished her former teammates luck, and after the triumph, she expressed her elation.
She also confirmed to fans on social media that she would receive a winning medal. She said that coach Jonathan Giraldez—who led Barcelona to victory but is set to leave for Bay FC himself after the season—will bring her medal to America for her.
She confirmed she was not kidding by sending a picture from the Barcelona dressing room, which had her jersey laid out with the rest of the matchday squad.
The 29-year-old is slowly settling to life in Bay FC. She has scored two goals in 10 games, but her team currently sits 12th in a league of 14 teams.
