Erling Halaand scored his 36th Premier League goal of the season and celebrated the feat in a special way after the game against Everton.

Erling Haaland seems to be the greatest striker that has played in the Premier League after breaking the long-standing record of 34 league goals in a season.

The Norwegian striker also added another to his tally when Manchester City outclassed Everton at Goodison Park by 3-0, making it 36 goals for the 2022-23 campaign.

The 22-year-old was wearing a specially made Nike boots that had 35 written on it which marked his incredible feat in the Premier League in the past few weeks.

What Haaland did to his customized Nike boots

However, Haaland stroked out the ‘5’ written after the ‘3’ with a black marker adding a ‘6’, indicating to the sports brand that he will be needing another customized pair of boots for City’s next game against Chelsea at the Etihad.

The former Borussia Dortmund superstar who recently extended his multimillion dollar contract with Nike in March 2023, could be wearing a new pair with another number in what could be the title-deciding game against Chelsea.

Haaland who has scored 52 goals in his debut season in England will be hoping to help City win the league and add to his goals in the last three games.

It was business as usual for Pep Guardiola’s men when they traveled to the blue side of Merseyside to play Everton in their week 35 encounter.

Despite resting four players that featured in the Champions League first semi final draw against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, Pep rested four players and it did not seem to be a problem for the Citizens.

In-form midfielder Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring with a touch of class before Halaand made it 2-0 in the 39 minute.

City wrapped up the game with Gundogan netting the third goal that gave the defending champions a four-point lead after rivals Arsenal were beaten 3-0 by Brighton at the Emirates.
