Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has taken a drastic step to try and force Atalanta to sell him
Ademola Lookman has taken matters into his own hands as his proposed move from Atalanta to Inter Milan stalls.
The Nigerian forward has removed all signs of Atalanta from his social media, sending a very public message amid rising frustration.
Lookman erases Atalanta from Instagram
It is the kind of move that says more than any statement could. Ademola Lookman has wiped his Instagram clean of anything that ties him to Atalanta.
His bio now simply reads, “Football player for Nigeria,” with no trace of the club he still plays for. His profile picture has been taken down too, and nearly every image of him in Atalanta colours has vanished.

This sudden social media detox comes just hours after Atalanta formally rejected Inter Milan’s latest offer of €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses for the reigning African Player of the Year.
While many players prefer to keep things quiet behind the scenes, Lookman has made his stance crystal clear without saying a single word. It appears to be a digital cry for freedom, possibly aimed at pushing the deal over the line.
Inter circling, but Atalanta standing firm on valuation
According to reports coming out of Italy, Lookman has already agreed to personal terms with Christian Chivu’s Inter side.
However, the move is stuck in limbo as Atalanta refuse to budge on their €50 million asking price. Their response to the €45 million offer was firm, and the bid was deemed not enough.
Inter now face a dilemma. Either they come back with an improved bid or risk losing out on a player who clearly wants the move.
Meanwhile, Lookman is making it known that mentally, and now digitally, he has already moved on from his glory days in the black and blue of Atalanta.
