The U-20 FIFA World Cup kicks off this weekend.
Nigeria’s U-20 men’s national team, the Flying Eagles, recorded an impressive 3-1 victory over Australia in a friendly match played at the Complejo Deportivo Ruca Mapu, Santiago.
Goals from Tahir Maigana, Achichi Oseer, and Charles Agada secured the win for the seven-time African champions, who are fine-tuning preparations ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
The result comes just days after the Flying Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by hosts Chile in their first test game last Saturday.

Head coach Aliyu Zubairu expressed satisfaction with the performance, noting that the team is gradually building momentum and confidence before the tournament begins.
