Fans reaction to Zinchenko’s Instagram post

Oleksandr Zinchenko made the decision to hide his Instagram account from the public after being harassed by internet trolls for declaring that he "stands with Israel" in a post.

Throughout the continuing struggle between his native Ukraine and Russia, which started in February of last year after Vladimir Putin authorised a full-scale invasion, Zinchenko has been a vocal supporter of his country.

According to reports from Daily Mail, the Arsenal defender showed his support for Israel by posting a photograph to his Instagram story.

In response to Zinchenko's update, one fan attacked his beliefs, “Funny how he’s the one crying about what Russia are doing to Ukraine.”

Another commented, “Same guy wants us to have sympathy with his beloved Ukraine. Disgusting.”

The online post read, “Greenwood aside Zinchenko is easily the most unlikeable footballer around.”

A third comment from a Manchester City supporter stated, “He is one of the most unlikeable footballers out there.”
