When is De Bruyne’s Napoli medical?
According to Fabrizio Romano, De Bruyne is expected to undergo a medical with Napoli tomorrow before formally signing a contract with the Serie A title holders.
Although he had been linked with potential moves to Major League Soccer and the Saudi Pro League, and reportedly attracted Premier League interest, the Belgian is set to continue his illustrious career in Italy's top flight.
De Bruyne's performances for Manchester City during the 2024-25 campaign, while not reaching his very highest levels, still saw him feature in 40 appearances across all competitions, where he scored six goals and provided eight assists.
In the Premier League alone, he netted four goals and contributed seven assists in 28 matches. He also made seven appearances in the Champions League.
The Belgian joins Antonio Conte’s men, who claimed last season’s Serie A title, pipping Inter Milan to the Scudetto on the final day.
What’s next for Napoli?
Napoli will return to pre-season in July to continue preparations for the 2025-26 season. The Partenopei travel to Sassuolo on August 24 for the opening fixture of their title defence.
