Cristiano Ronaldo makes shocking Saudi League claim after match-winning performance
Cristiano Ronaldo made the move to the Middle East at the end of 2022 after an explosive exit from Manchester United, putting pen to paper on a contract worth £173m per year.
Ronaldo has been in sparkling form for Al-Nassr with 14 goals in 18 appearances and his latest strike was a match-winning goal against Al Shabab to help his team come back from 2-0 down.
Ronaldo offers thoughts on the Saudi League
Ronaldo was asked about his thoughts on the Saudi league and his feelings just a few months into his Al-Nassr career.
The veteran forward said: “We are much better. In my opinion, the Saudi League is getting better. Next year will be even better.
“Step by step I think this league will be in the top five leagues in the world but they need time, they need players, they need infrastructure but I believe that this country has amazing potential.
They have amazing people and the league will be great in my opinion.”
