Should the Moroccan arrive at Stamford Bridge, he will have to compete with Reece James for first team place.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Achraf Hakimi from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The 24-year-old fullback is valued at £60 million, and according to multiple reports, the Blues are keen to bring him to England.

Although Chelsea have signed multiple young players in previous windows, they are keen to bring in more stars, and the Moroccan is said to be on their wishlist.

Hakimi is an experienced fullback, having played for various clubs in different leagues.

He joined Real Madrid in 2006 and honed his skills through the ranks at the club before a loan move to Borussia Dortmund, where he stayed for two years. At the German club, he developed quickly, and his performances led to a number of European clubs eyeing him.

Inter Milan then won the race to sign him, and after a successful time with the Italian side, he moved to PSG in the summer of 2021.

He has done incredibly well in Ligue 1, and again, he could be on the move, with Chelsea being his possible destination.

The French giants are expected to execute a squad overhaul in the summer and bring in more players who can help them achieve their main objective of winning the Champions League.

As some players are expected to arrive, some will leave, and one of them could be Hakimi, who might end up in the Premier League at Chelsea.

The Ligue 1 side is said to be ready to accept an offer in the region of £50-60 million, which they consider a fair price for the Moroccan.

The Blues have been monitoring the African star for some years now and could finally manage to take him to Stamford Bridge.

His arrival could have an impact on James’ career, as the English fullback has been the most preferred choice at right-back.

However, recent injury cases have affected James’ reliability, and Hakimi’s arrival could offer a viable option for the Blues’ technical bench.
