Portuguese International Reaches 100 Goals and 200 Premier League Games for the Club
In Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Chelsea, Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring and reached a major milestone for the club, his 100th goal, achieved in his 200th Premier League appearance.
To mark the occasion, the Red Devils honoured their captain on Tuesday.
The Portuguese international received a unique piece of art featuring a photograph commemorating each of his goals.
What Jason said
Jason Wilcox, the Director of Football, presented the memento to Fernandes.
"This is just a small tribute to Bruno, our captain. As you know, he's scored 100 goals for Manchester United, which is an incredible achievement. Bruno, as everyone knows him well, is a captain who leads by example.
“For any young player, he's a brilliant example of what it takes to be a top player, and he's a fantastic representation of our football club and his family," Wilcox stated, before handing the floor to the player.

Bruno Fernandes says he was not aiming to set a new milestone at Old Trafford
"Obviously, thank you to everyone from day one. All the assists, all the goals, all the penalties you've given me the opportunity to score. I'm very happy and proud to have reached this great number.
“It wasn't something I dreamed of when I was growing up, to become a football player, but, obviously, it's a privilege for me and I hope that, along with this, we can put many trophies in the cabinet, because that's what matters most," he declared.
