Barcelona can now proceed with summer deals after getting approval for a feasibility plan from LaLiga

Spanish club Barcelona have received an update from LaLiga on their proposed feasibility plan to break even and complete signings in the coming season. ‘

The Blaugrana were told that they would not be allowed to sign new players in the summer transfer window if they did not recoup a sum between €200-250 million, and were even stopped from registering the extensions of players like Gavi, Marcos Alonso, and Ronald Araujo, despite agreeing on deals with the players.

After the departure of players like Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, who were high earners at the club, Barcelona now believe that they are on course to meet LaLiga’s requirements, and the league’s approval of their feasibility plan strengthens that belief.

Barcelona to start summer plans after LaLiga approval

With LaLiga’s blessings, Barcelona can start planning for the summer transfer activity in earnest, starting with completing the contract extensions of Gavi, Araujo, and Alonso

Despite presenting an agreeable plan to LaLiga, Barcelona have also been informed that they will still need to sell players in order to buy any new players in the summer.

This includes the club’s bid to bring legend, Lionel Messi, back to Barcelona, a deal that they need to broker as soon as possible, with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal pressing Messi for a decision regarding a megadeal this season.

Barcelona have also targeted Manchester City's trio of Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, and Joao Cancelo for potential summer moves, but even with their new plans, signing any of them will be difficult without sales.
