Manchester United could be set to lose a future star to LaLiga giants Barcelona
Barcelona are reportedly looking to sign Manchester United youngster Marc Jurado as their search for a right-back continues this summer.

The Catalan giants could be set to swoop for Jurado, who is a former La Masia prospect who left the club to join Manchester United in 2020.

With a gaping hole at right back, Barcelona are hoping to capture Jurado, who is yet to agree on a contract extension with Manchester United despite his current deal expiring at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Jurado’s capture would be seen as a signing for the future, rather than an immediate solution for the Blaugrana, but there is hope that the 19-year-old can blossom into a genuine right back option in the near future.
Barcelona looking to Jurado for two main reasons
The former Barcelona Atletic defender has not made a competitive appearance for Manchester United since joining the club as a 16-year-old but was named in the Red Devils’ Premier League squad to face Nottingham Forest in April this year.
Suppose the Spaniard joins the Blaugrana this summer. In that case, he will likely play with Barcelona’s B team to aid his development into the first team and also aid the B team, which is currently suffering a shortage of talent after losing several promising players this summer.
Jurado could make a return to Catalonia from Manchester like former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique who made the switch in 2008 and enjoyed a trophy-laden career with the LaLiga giants.
